Redditch United were proud to hold an evening to celebrate the launch of our Social Impact Report for 2026, which brought together so many valued partners and local organisations to reflect on a year of meaningful community engagement and present our ambitious vision for how the club will continue to support and improve the town of Redditch.
The evening consisted of complimentary drinks and a two-course dinner, which was set up and hosted superbly by students of Heart of Worcestershire College in their renowned Archers Restaurant, allowing for a memorable night with our partners.
Guests arrived and were welcomed with drinks and canapés, before being seated in the main dining room for their meals and the main presentation.
Following the presentation, Dave Faulkner, Chairman of Redditch United, expressed his delight at the evening.
He said: “It’s been fantastic. The figure we’ve announced our social value at happens, not just because of the people in this room, but a whole host of others. It is something we’re proud of and all the members of our club are proud of.
“The aim from the start was to be more than just a football club. The work we’re doing with schools and education at the moment proves we are doing far more than football now and we’re having a greater impact because of that.
“It’s been really good tonight that people can come here and make different connections. We are a genuine business hub and people benefit from being part of that network. Tonight celebrates them and their impact as well.”
The success of the Social Impact Report proves that Redditch United’s influence extends far beyond the pitch, reaching the heart of the town’s education and environmental efforts. For local businesses that stand behind the club, their partnership is more than just visibility; it is about providing the necessary tools and stability to ensure that these community initiatives continue to run.
To get a clearer understanding of this, Solutions Delivery Architect Ryan Williams from Central IT Solutions shared his thoughts on his company partnering with the club.
“Because we’re Redditch-based, we wanted to give something back to the community and Redditch United is a pillar of that. With the REDI centre and the education work, we don’t want there to be disruption, so we’re delivering those services to make sure that doesn’t happen,” said Ryan.
“What we’re giving to the club and the community should hopefully be more than what we get out of it. For us, it’s all about giving back to the community and giving the right toolset to Redditch United.”
