We are very pleased to welcome 23-year-old central defender, Max Ram to the Reds.
The 6ft 2’ imposing defender joins from National League North outfit, Rushall Olympic. Despite his age, Max boasts a great pedigree and plenty of experience having started his footballing career as a Leicester City player before moving across to Nottingham Forest where he played U21s football. Following that, he had a brief spell with Stratford Town before signing a one-year deal with Wycombe Wanderers. He eventually found himself north of the border playing for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Championship. Lately, the defender has had spells with Gloucester City and Alfreton Town before a summer move to Rushall Olympic.
Tim Flowers had this to say about the central defender; “Max is a lad that we brought in at Gloucester City after his spell in the Scottish highlands. I’ve followed him a little bit with his move to Wycombe and loan spell with Hungerford. I spoke to him over the summer and he had one or two options, eventually opting for Step 2 Rushall. Whatever happened there has happened and he contacted me to ask if I was still interested, which I was of course. He brings experience, physicality and he’s a good lad as well. He’s Leicester-based so he’s showing he wants to be here by travelling across, so I’m very much looking forward to working with him.”

Max will be available for selection for the opening game of the season against Lowestoft Town on Saturday.
