Redditch United suffered a consecutive defeat in the league after a 0-7 loss to promotion-chasing Spalding United.

Goals from Jack Roberts, Bart Cybulski, Josh McCammon, Lewis White, Abduramane Sani & Dion Sembie-Ferris gave the visitors three points.

Aram Soleman and Dexter Dudley-Toole returned to the starting XI, whilst Reece Flanagan and Jack Loughran were suspended.

The game was underway following a minute’s applause in memory of Halesowen Town’s President, Colin Brookes.

Redditch had an early chance as a free-kick was saved by James Dadge.

In the 19th minute, Spalding would take the lead when Connor Johnson’s header cannoned off the crossbar and fell to Lewis White who headed home into an empty net.

Fabian Reynolds drove towards goal after finding some space on the edge of the box, playing through to Danny King, but the danger was cleared at the last second.

However, Jack Roberts doubled the visitor’s lead in the 33rd minute, after Josh McCammon intercepted a loose ball and drove forward, playing it through to the young winger who found the bottom left corner.

The Reds were 0-2 down going into the break, but had shown glimpses of quality in the first-half.

It was a better start to the second half as Morgan Owen had an effort held, before Finn Howell was played in behind and his effort hit the side netting.

Ten minutes later, another mistake at the back for Redditch saw McCammon drive forward again, this time burying his effort into the top corner to make it 3-0.

Roberts earned his brace when a Dion Semie-Ferris cross deflected to his path, and he smashed his second goal into the bottom right corner.

Minutes later, Roberts was involved once again as he beat his man on the byline, before being brought down in the box. Bart Cybulski stepped up and converted the penalty.

Late on, Liam Loughlan and Reynolds had efforts blocked before the cross came back into the box but Alex Cameron headed just wide.

In the 90th minute, Roberts intercepted another pass at the back, before squaring it across for Abduramane Sani to tap into an open net.

Sembie-Ferris would get himself on the scoresheet in injury time as his effort took a huge deflection into the opposite corner to finish off a 0-7 victory for the visitors.

Redditch United XI: Warmington; Shambrook, Owen, Dudley-Toole, Howell; Loughlan, Soleman, Warburton; King, Reynolds, Cameron (C).

Subs: Richards (77’), Minaker, Allwood (90’), Fry, Langton.
