Redditch United secured yet another victory at home, after defeating Stourbridge 3-1 thanks to a bicycle kick from Alex Cameron, and goals from Reece Flanagan and Fabian Reynolds to seal the three points.

Cameron returned to the squad following his suspension, whilst Liam Loughlan was also named back into the starting XI. Joel Shambrook was left out with a knock, so Jimmy Richardson was given a start at right-back.

The first real effort of the game fell to the way of Redditch, as Cameron headed down for King inside the box. The ball fell to Loughlan, but his effort was just wide.

Harry Eden’s cross floated towards the far post for Richardson, but his half-volley was hit over the bar.

In the 23rd minute, Richardson floated in a cross from the right and Cameron leapt into the air to smash in a bicycle kick past Charlie Price in the Stourbridge net.

The visitors applied some pressure late in the first half from consecutive set pieces, but Dexter Dudley-Toole and Tyrese Warmington were able to come out on top with a couple of headers and catches, respectively.

After the restart, Joe Hull made a huge block to deny a Ty Barnett shot.

Cameron had a couple of efforts in the space of two minutes, but each effort was skimmed wide of the woodwork.

Reynolds turned well in the box and laid off Flanagan. The ball then fell to substitute Tyler Bruck, but his shot was saved by Price. The Wolves loanee had another half-chance as he cut inside from the right but had a shot saved.

A long ball found Cameron, who flicked on a header in behind for Bruck, but he rushed his effort, and it flew over the crossbar.

New signing Shay Willock capitalised on a mistake in the box with Warmington off his line, and he finished into an empty net to level the score.

He was then booked for swiping at Warmington in the box.

However, it wouldn’t be long before Redditch retook their lead after Robbie Bunn played a great ball down the right for Reynolds, who cut back across goal for Cameron. The forward then laid off Flanagan, and the skipper smashed home past the hands of Price.

Three minutes later, Reynolds skipped past Price on the byline and finished from a tight angle to seal a 3-1 victory for Redditch United.

Redditch United XI: Warmington; Richardson, Dudley-Toole, Hull, Eden; Soleman, Flanagan, Loughlan, Warburton; King, Cameron.
