Redditch United secured another home victory as they ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Matt Warburton and Liam Loughlan.
Billy Fielding earned a place in the starting XI, whilst Alex Cameron took the captain’s armband. Tyler Bruck also returned to the squad from his loan spell.
It was a good start for the Reds as Cameron looked to have won the ball high and ran through on goal, but his effort was saved well by the feet of Thomas Jackson.
Redditch dominated the ball early on, but Stamford began to grow into what was becoming a stop-start game.
Danny King found himself in a great area down the right flank to cut back across goal, but Fabian Reynolds was not able to get the finishing touch as he was marked tightly by the defender.
In the 33rd minute, Liam Loughlan dribbled through a number of men down the right, before being brought down in the box and the referee blew for a penalty. Matt Warburton stepped up and tucked away his goal into the bottom left corner to put his side into the lead.
Fielding came close to doubling the lead instantly as his effort looked to have beaten the goalkeeper, but it just rolled wide of the left post
Shortly after the restart, Kai Sanchez-Tonge found some space down the left, before driving inside, but his effort was tipped round the near post by Tyrese Warmington.
Charlie Marzano crossed in from deep which led to a scramble in the box. The shot was eventually fired from nowhere and Warmington did well to tip it over.
Redditch came close to doubling their lead again when a ball was looped over to Dexter Dudley-Toole, but his volley rolled just wide of the near post.
It was so close to a second after Jack Loughran drove down the byline, before cutting back across goal. Warburton managed to get on the end of a shot, but was blocked on the line by a visiting defender.
Shortly after, the former Kings Lynn man would block an effort off the line to deny a Stamford equaliser.
There were six minutes of added time, in which Redditch continued to press high, forcing a turnover right at the death, which led to Loughlan driving through on goal and slotting away into the bottom corner to seal the victory.
