On Wednesday 4th June, we hosted the Birmingham FA Club 50 Development Evening. ‘Club 50’ aims to elevate clubs to become 3-star accredited, providing opportunities for all players across communities, as well as developing governance, facilities, workforce, and community engagement within the ‘Club 50’ clubs.
After delivering key updates regarding affiliation and future planning, the Birmingham FA presented awards to Clubs for their outstanding contributions to grassroots football. We were delighted to receive recognition for our Dedication to Community Engagement.
Community Manager, Lee Atkins, commented, “During the 2024/25 season, we had over 550 registered players from U7 to senior level, as well as 80+ participants on a weekly basis at the Future Reds Development Centre. We have been striving to enhance our links within the local community and have a positive impact. Last year, we delivered 10,000 free tickets to local schools, with 200+ participants each week as part of our schools delivery programme. We also provided 2,500 fully funded HAF places on our holiday camps, ensuring kids receive a hot meal during half-term. To receive this award is a testament to our ongoing work, and we will continue our hard work to remain the hub of the local community.“
