Redditch United are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms with Morgan Owen for the 2025/26 season.
The 20-year-old midfielder is a familiar face to Redditch United fans, given his two loan spells with the Reds during the previous two seasons. Owen arrives from Solihull Moors following his release at the end of the 2024/25 season and we’re excited to have him permanently. The energetic midfielder made 6 appearances in the National League for Moors, as well as regularly starting in Cup competitions for the Step 1 side. Redditch United fans will have seen what he’s capable of when he joined our midfield and helped push us to a play-off spot in the 2023/24 season.
Morgan developed through the Solihull Moors academy under the management and guidance of now Redditch United manager, Mike Fowler. The Reds boss said this: “I’m really pleased that he has chosen to join us despite having plenty of options. I was really shocked that he became available, but I moved quickly to secure him on contract for the season ahead. Mogs has an incredible ability to control games and will be integral to the way we play. He can dictate the game with the ball, and he can also do the other side of the game just as well. He’s a player I have worked with for five years, and he has a huge career ahead of him.”
