During Saturday’s game against Biggleswade Town, goalkeeper Ollie Taylor suffered an early blow to his eye socket following an aerial challenge. Despite bravely playing the rest of the game, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a broken orbital bone. In response, the management team has worked tirelessly to find cover for our remaining three crucial fixtures, in which the League has granted us an emergency signing.
As a result, we’re pleased to welcome Dan Moore to Redditch United. The 21-year-old goalkeeper joins from Worcester City, having played 9 League games and keeping 4 clean sheets for the Step 4 side with the majority of those appearances coming last month. Before joining City in February, Moore enjoyed spells with Belper Town and Wellingborough Town (both Step 4) and was named in the Northern Premier League East Team of the Season whilst with the former for the 2023/24 season. The talented young ‘keeper also lists Burton Albion, Leamington and Boldmere St Michaels amongst his former clubs.
We’d like to wish Ollie a speedy recovery and thank him for his efforts this season, whilst welcoming Dan to the Reds.
