Robbie Bunn is Retained

Robbie Bunn is Retained

We’re excited to share that Robbie Bunn has agreed terms to remain at his hometown team for the 2026/27 season.

The born and bred Redditch lad had a standout season for the Reds last term, picking up the Manager’s Player of the Season award with 34 appearances and 7 goals. A long-standing Redditch United player, Robbie sits on 130 appearances, so the race for the record appearance holder (150 apps) is firmly on between himself, Alex Cameron (132) and Danny King (129).

Mike Fowler, Men’s 1st Team Manager, commented:

I’m absolutely delighted that Bunny has agreed to come back.

It’s taken a little bit longer than I’d have liked, but after a fantastic season last season and contributing on and off the pitch as strongly as he has, culminating in him getting Manager’s Player of the Year. Keeping our best players, especially local ones that have been through the education programme and the pathway at the football club, despite him going away to different clubs over the years, he’s always come back. For him to be making the decision to stay for a second season is huge for us because there would have been a lot of interest in him. It just shows what we’re trying to build at the football club when we can keep all of our best players and add to them. So I’m looking forward to another strong season from Robbie.”

A pleasure to keep you with us, Robbie.
