We are pleased to welcome Harry Emmett to the Reds on an initial month-long loan from Gloucester City!
The 23-year-old versatile left-sided player arrives from Step 3 side, Gloucester City, who reside in the Southern League Premier South. Harry picked up the Tigers’ Young Player of the Year award last season as they competed in the National League North, despite picking up a serious shoulder injury at the end of January which kept him out for the rest of the season.
Harry joined Gloucester City at the beginning of 2023/24, recruited by Tim Flowers, and now the pair link up once again. The 23-year-old is a former Cheltenham Town academy player before moving to Longlevens, Cinderford and then Gloucester City.
Upon linking up with a former player, Tim Flowers said; “Harry is a lad that I brought in at Gloucester before pre-season last year. He’s a young lad who can play left back, left wingback and left winger. He’s a good honest lad, has good attributes; he’s energetic, gets up and down the pitch, not scared of a tackle and he’ll contribute well to the team. We’re now covering most positions and he’ll offer us width, energy and certainly commitment down that side. At this moment in time, it is just an initial 28-day loan so we’ll see if that develops from either us or Gloucester City. He’s a lad that I’ve worked with before and has shown me that he’s got the tenacity to want to progress in the game, and is still a decent young age (23). Having spoken with him before training on Monday evening, he still thinks he can push on and develop himself so hopefully we can help him with that and we’re looking forward to seeing him over the next month or so.”
Welcome to the Reds, Harry!
The loan registration is currently pending FA & Southern League approval.
