Player signings brought to you by AJ’s.
Redditch United are thrilled to introduce our new #1, Aaron Flahavan.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper arrives from Solihull Moors, where he made a number of appearances for the Step 1 side, including a debut that was featured live on TNT Sports away to Dagenham & Redbridge that resulted in a 2-1 win for the Moors. Following his debut, the Moors Assistant Manager praised the young ‘keeper, saying: “Az came in and I thought he was absolutely fantastic. His kicking was great, he was brave, commanded his box and communicated well – and it just shows the trust and the faith the lads had in him.“
Aaron comes from a family of goalkeepers. His father, Darryl Flahavan, made over 400 appearances in the EFL and is now the goalkeeper coach of Plymouth Argyle alongside his late uncle, Aaron Flahavan, who played for Portsmouth.
The young goalkeeper is now looking to showcase his abilities, which include impressive distribution, bravery and agility, consistently under a manager that he knows well. As well as a spell with Moors, Flahavan has spent time with the Southampton, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Birmingham City academies.
Upon securing his #1 for the 2025/26 season, Redditch United boss commented: “Az is a fantastic lad with huge potential. His all-around game is very good, technically one of the best I have seen. He’s had good exposure around Step 1 and has had a few good non-league loans. His distribution, athleticism and bravery are key reasons why he is the perfect number 1 for us. Can’t wait to see him in a Redditch shirt.”
Welcome to the Reds, Az.
