Charlie Tonks Appointed as Redditch United Assistant Manager
Redditch United Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Charlie Tonks as the club’s new Assistant Manager.
Charlie becomes the first addition to Jimmy Fry’s backroom team following Fry’s recent appointment as First Team Manager, with the new boss moving quickly to secure one of the most highly regarded young coaches in the non league game.
Charlie joins the Reds after several years operating at Step 2, most recently with Peterborough Sports, having previously held an important coaching and recruitment role at Kidderminster Harriers. During that time, he has developed an outstanding reputation for player identification, recruitment and squad building.
His knowledge of the National League North, extensive network within the game and proven eye for talent made him a standout candidate as the club continues its long term ambition of progressing up the football pyramid.
The appointment is another statement of intent from Redditch United, with the club determined to build a football department capable of competing at the highest possible level, both now and in the future.
First Team Manager Jimmy Fry said:
“He’s a great coach with an excellent understanding of the game. His experience in analysis and recruitment will also be a huge asset, not just to me and the coaching staff but to the football club. I’m looking forward to working closely with him as we continue to move the club forward together.”
